Diet: Dolphins eat a variety of fish, squid, shrimps, jellyfish and octopuses

Habitat: Harbors, bays, gulfs, and estuaries, as well as nearshore coastal waters, deeper waters over the continental shelf, and even far offshore in the open ocean

Population: The most abundant species were harbor porpoise (409,000), common dolphin (439,000) and striped dolphin (187,000), with a further 146,000 either common or striped dolphins.
